Greek Peak’s ski and ride school staff includes 150 professional instructors to help you get skiing or riding in no time – we guarantee it! Beginners progress rapidly by using our two state-of-the-art beginner lifts, the Magic Carpet and the Boardwalk, to gently glide up the hill without ever leaving the ground. The terrain is subtle enough that even the youngest children or tentative adults feel comfortable and prepared to advance with the sport. Then, it’s off to the Alpha Slope, an ultra wide confidence boosting beginner slope.
The Rossignol Junior Ski & Ride School (JSRS) provides lessons for children ages 3 -14. The school offers half day and full day lesson programs that introduce the right mix of instruction, supervision, safety, and fun! Children are grouped by age and ability in an atmosphere that fosters new friendships. The School is centrally located next to our beginner lifts and features its own food service, ticket counter and rentals, day care facility, and a private check-in with staff to help children out on the snow.
There are also offers several options for Group Lessons, Private Lessons and Lesson Packages throughout the day for all levels of skiers and riders seeking to fine tune their abilities. All ages love the terrain parks, especially the teens! Each park is specifically designed for varying ability levels.
In addition, Greek Peak promotes lesson programs offered by the Ski Areas of New York, Inc. (SANY), which is an organization dedicated to the continued growth of the New York snow sports industry.
Schools are encouraged to register for the Greek Peak Mountain Resort Ski Club. These School Programs are mostly for kids age 7 and up. Students are transported for 6 weeks, after school, on the day designated by the Program Advisor. The program uses Activities Based Training (ABT) program that uses fun and festive activity courses as a method to improve the skiing/riding abilities of participants. Local college students can take Skiing and Snowboarding Courses at Greek Peak Mountain Resort for college credit. Colleges participating are: Ithaca College, Binghamton University, Cornell University, SUNY Cortland, and TC3.
Want to compare your racing skills with others of similar age and ability? Sign up for the NASTAR Racing program. NASTAR is the largest recreational ski and snowboard race program in the world. Junior racers aged 6-18 can join the Greek Peak Ski Club, offering ski development training by USSA certified coaches.
Greek Peak’s Adaptive Snowsports Program provides snowsports experiences and skill development for people with disabilities, utilizing the safest and most effective adaptive equipment and qualified/trained volunteer staff.
